Statements of GoalsBefore I can write these statements, I must pen a definition of
Professional and Personal, so that it is clear what I mean.
Otherwise, I could easily say there is no difference.
Professional: Of, relating to, engaged in, or suitable for an
occupation, such as law, medicine, or engineering, that requires
considerable training and specialized study.
Personal: Concerning a particular person and his or her private business, interests, or activities; intimate.
That crucial (in my mind) difference made plain...
Write a statement about an important goal in your professional life. One
important goal is to perceptibly transform potential in a person, such
as an undirected charisma, to act into action, such as a diplomatic
treaty between warring nations.
Write a statement about an important goal in your personal life.
One important goal is to have a satisfactory level of endurance,
fearlessness, discipline, and knowledge by the age of 30, after which
they will each require maintenance except the last, which by necessity
of its nature, will continue to grow as rapidly as I feel I can afford
to allocate time to it.
