• Can I collaborate with my colleagues on revising a course?

  Yes. If you would like to collaborate with your colleagues, add them as an additional contributor in the Basic Information (tab), Proposal Details (part).

• How do I change my password?

  eLumen is tied to single sign-on, follow the steps in MyPortal to change your password. 

• How do I know which workflow to use?

  Each workflow has a description to assist you. If you are unsure, contact the Curriculum Office at elumenadmin@fhda.edu.

• I need a second instance of eLumen, what do I do?

  Open an incognito window and follow the instructions to log on. 

• In ECMS, my related course was on one outline. In eLumen they are now all separated. If I do one revision, can the office duplicate the revisions to all related courses?

  No, the office cannot duplicate a revision as eLumen DOES NOT have a copy function. All related courses will need to be revised separately.

• What do I do if I get an error message that I have no role assigned?

  You will be assigned a role after you have gone through training. If you have gone through training and you are still receiving this message, contact the Curriculum Office at elumenadmin@fhda.edu and let the office know:
  

  • The department(s) you need access to and;
  • What role(s) (faculty, department chair, dean, etc.…) assignment is needed.

• What is the difference between the curriculum dashboard and the inbox?

  What you see in the curriculum dashboard and the inbox is dependent on the role and department/division that you have selected.

  The curriculum dashboard will show you all the workflows in progress, the stage it is in, and how many days it's been in a stage. It is an overall picture of the workflows in the department/division.

  As the faculty role, the inbox will show you the workflows that you initiated. As a reviewer/approver, the inbox will show you the workflows that you need to act on. Always go through the inbox to act on a workflow.

• Who can answer questions regarding online and/or hybrid forms?

  Contact the Division Dean, Online Education and Learning Resource, Gabriela Nocito at nocitogabriela@fhda.edu.

• Who can answer questions regarding SLO (student learning outcome) or PSLO (program learning outcome)?

  Visit, deanza.edu/slo or email outcomes@fhda.edu.

• Why do I keep getting logged out?

  eLumen times out due to inactivity. Log back in if this occurs. 

• Why is the “Upload Files” button not active?

  To activate the button, you must first "Save as Draft," exit the workflow and reenter the workflow.
