Reminder–How to Remove Your Registration Hold
Important Message About Your Academic Status
Dear Student,
We want to remind you that a registration hold was placed on your student account earlier this month, as a result of being on academic or progress probation. This means you won’t be able to register for summer or fall classes, order transcripts or receive any certificates or degrees until the hold is lifted.
This is an opportunity for you to get back on track. The Academic Awareness Program support team has counselors and resources to support you in improving your academic performance. Here are the steps you must follow to have the probation hold lifted.
First: Complete the Student Self-Assessment and Action Plan (if you haven't already done this), before you meet with your counselor.
Second: Meet with Glynn Wallis, your counselor on the AAP team, as soon as possible. Glynn will assist you with reviewing the self-assessment, setting goals and removing your registration hold. If you haven't already met with Glynn this quarter:
- Click this link to schedule an appointment, or
- Speak to her without an appointment, in person or on Zoom, during his regular drop-in hours on Wednesdays from noon to 2 p.m.
Third: Follow up with Brenda Recinos, your student success specialist. Brenda will check in with you to offer support, answer questions, schedule counseling appointments and provide referrals for other services. You may reach Brenda:
- By phone at 408.864.8388, or
- Click this link to submit a message through the AAP help desk
You must follow these steps in order to have your registration hold removed.
You can learn more about academic and progress probation on the Probation Standards and Requirements webpage. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact your Academic Awareness Program team.
Best wishes,
De Anza College
