Title: Team Bonding Activity

Description: This item is to strengthen the team dynamics of the 2023-2024 DASG Finance Committee. Team bonding activities include ice breakers, as well as getting to know Members’ work styles and goals.

Question: What did you do over the weekend?

• All members and the public discussed the activities they took part in over the weekend to get to know each other.
• Nicholas T moved to end discussion. 
• Ian moved to extend the discussion.
• Aaron seconded with no objections.

Title: Flea Market Update

Description: This item is to update the finance committee regarding Flea Market and prepare for the upcoming Flea Market

• No flea market committee meeting.
• Jannah is out today, excused absence.

Business Item 3

Title: Review Budget Deliberation Process

Description: This item is to review, discuss, and possibly make any changes to the budget deliberation process.

• Nicholas reiterated the structure of the budget deliberation process to prospective interns.

Outreach to Programs and Student Body

• Hyon Chu: Focus of discussion shifted to the need for outreach to programs and student body. Those who are familiar with the process will turn them in but more programs need to be informed on the process so they can submit a proposal if desired. 
• Hyon Chu suggests conducting information sessions (Drop in questions) to help inform students and programs of the budget deliberation process. 
• Suggestion made to make use of existing programs to push out the information.
• Discussion over the potential format of information sessions (Zoom, In Person, Presentations etc.) as well as the method for notifications (Emails, video, flyers etc.)
• Put together script for volunteers to follow up with programs if they have any questions about the budget deliberation process. 
• Izat informed the group about the budget deliberation process including: 
  1. Requests are sent out
  2. Receive the completed forms
  3. Conduct interviews
  4. Finance committee budget deliberations
  5. Senate Review
• There were no changes to the Budget deliberation process in this meeting.
